From August 29 to 31, the "2025 Coalbed Methane Exploration and Development Academic and Technical Conference," jointly organized by the China Petroleum and Chemical Automation Application Association, PetroChina Coalbed Methane Co., Ltd., and the National Engineering Research Center for Coalbed Methane Development and Utilization, was held in Tai'an, Shandong.
From August 29 to 31, 2025, the Coalbed Methane Exploration and Development Academic and Technical Conference was held in Tai'an, Shandong. This conference with the theme "Scientific and Technological Progress in Coalbed Methane Exploration and Development Promotes High-Quality Development of the Coalbed Methane Industry" , gathered industry elites from China National Petroleum Corporation, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, Sinopec, Yanchang Petroleum, China Geological Survey, China Coal Technology & Engineering Group, and related research institutes and universities to discuss cutting-edge academic ideas, share valuable practical experiences, and inject new momentum into the innovation-driven development of the coalbed methane industry.
The conference was jointly organized by the China Petroleum and Chemical Automation Application Association, CNPC Coalbed Methane Co., Ltd., and the National Engineering Research Center for Coalbed Methane Development and Utilization. It focused on the new development situation and technological innovation needs faced by the coalbed methane industry, building a collaborative innovation platform deeply integrating production, education, research, and application. Key discussions included technical challenges such as deep coal seam mining and reservoir transformation, as well as common industry issues.
