On March 6th, the regular meeting of the science and technology sector in Nantong City was held in our city to redeploy and further promote the key tasks of scientific and technological innovation for this year, aiming to advance the construction of a higher-level national innovative city with greater efforts and stronger synergy. Yu Lizhong, Vice Mayor of Nantong City, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, and Mao Weifeng, Deputy Secretary-General of the Municipal Government, participated in the meeting. Zhao Nannan, Deputy Secretary of the Hai'an Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, shared experiences on Hai'an City's scientific and technological innovation work. City leaders Yang Jianghua, Xia Weijun, and others also attended the meeting.
The meeting required strengthening the construction of scientific and technological strategic forces, building a highland for marine science and technology innovation, planning and deploying major marine-related scientific and technological infrastructure, and implementing special plans for innovative development of the marine industry; balancing "external introduction" and "internal cultivation," promoting the quality improvement and expansion of higher education resources; fostering leading technology enterprises, closely monitoring review progress to ensure more enterprises in the city can be shortlisted; increasing the overall social R&D investment level and accelerating the diversification of R&D investment. It emphasized making good use of key technology investment attraction strategies, focusing on target tasks, integrating work forces, continuously "tapping potential" in Shanghai and Southern Jiangsu, stepping up efforts to "go global," and comprehensively broadening project sources. The focus should be on the "main attack direction" of industry-innovation integration, arranging innovation chains around industrial chains, focusing on enterprises, improving the cultivation team, and supporting leading industry enterprises to lead the formation of industrial innovation consortia. Innovation space layout should be optimized, promoting the development of national innovative city clusters, better integrating into the Yangtze River Delta integration, gathering global innovation elements, and enhancing regional innovation capacity and competitiveness overall. Innovation platform carriers should be strengthened and well utilized, adhering to an "open-door" approach to innovation, promoting quality improvement of parks, and enhancing and strengthening science and technology services. Talent support should be reinforced, continuously deepening the integration of science and education, improving the science and technology finance system, and building a first-class innovation ecosystem.
The meeting summarized Nantong City's scientific and technological innovation work in 2024 and deployed tasks for 2025. Afterwards, the attendees visited Tuochuang Technology for inspection and study to gain an in-depth understanding of the company's scientific and technological innovation and R&D achievements. The company's General Manager, Tai Liulong, accompanied the visit and engaged in in-depth exchanges regarding the company's technological innovation, achievement transformation, and future development plans.
In the exhibition hall, the research team learned in detail about the company's achievements in the field of scientific research instruments, including instrument R&D, technological breakthroughs, and independent intellectual property rights. Entering the production workshop, the team conducted an on-site inspection of the fully automated production line and intelligent workshop. Tai Liulong introduced the latest instruments and equipment currently being produced on site and emphasized that Tuochuang Technology will take this inspection as an opportunity to continue deepening technological innovation, accelerate internationalization, and contribute corporate strength to Nantong's construction of a technological innovation highland on the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta!
